What would be an appropriate gift to give a client who's about to retire? White collar..business client.

How well do you know this client? Has he/she been a good customer/client over the years?

Do you know if he/she has any hobbies or interests? You can base the gift on hobbies and interests- for example, if he/she likes the theatre, maybe tickets to a local production or concert. If he/she likes professional sports, perhaps tickets to a game?
If he/she likes travel- a gift card or certificate to a local travel agency so he/she can put it towards a trip
If he/she likes wine or champagne, a nice bottle with two glasses to celebrate with friends.

When my director retired, the staff chipped in and bought her a hot air balloon ride. We included a bracelet with a balloon charm to remember her gift.

Just a few ideas.

im looking for a new idea of what to make for a baby gift for a shower. ive done a nappy cake, bunch of socks and baby clothes (bunch of flowers) and gift baskets/hampers. has anyone got any other ideas of what i can do. i enjoyed making the sock bouquets… is there anything i can do similar but in a different shape! i like unusual so all ideas welcome

my girlfriend bought a bunch of cloths for my daughter and put them on a cloths line with cloths pins and then laid them in a tall hamper with a note on the end of the line that said "pull slowly" It was amazing! She went way over board and the line stretched about 50 feet long. It was the hit of our shower. So our gift was a cute pink hamper and a ton of cloths. I am not a fan of the diaper cakes because we didn't like the diapers and I ended up not using them at all.

Hello,

I want to buy a food processor in the States as a gift for my sister, but I am unsure whether or not the warranty would cover her here in Canada if the item (a food processor, retailing at $200.00) were to be defective, need repairs, etc,.

What's the warranty for buyers of American products by Canadian customers (in-store purchase).

Thanks so much,

Av

and he's the best employee we've ever had
we're not close, but her dad helps my husband a lot!

Depends on your budget…if you can afford it.. and he doesn't have many more daughters… Fund them a trip for their honeymoon with your employee sharing part of the cost.

If the budget is tight, don't do less than $100.00

If they've got a good sense of humour you could get them the book '1000 places to see before you die' :o)

When I retire I'd like something that didn't make me feel ancient, like a hot air balloon flight ticket or a theme park season pass. Something fun.
